Abstract
|
|
|
Use of a temporal flap allows maximal exposure of the lateral and superior orbital r´ and zygomatic arch while minimizing risk to the facial nerve branches; it also produces a osmetically acceptable scar.
No major complications occurred in 7 patients undergoing temporal flap procedures for direct interossous wiring.
Temporal flap procedures provide good exposure for accurate surgery and acceptable cosmesis, and result in less risk to important anatomical structures.
